Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson two lawyers. At the age of five her family moved to Oxfordshire and went to an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she made the decision to be an actor. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught singing and acting. She had already performed in a variety of Stagecoach performances as well as in school events before she reached the age of ten. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agent via their Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were cast as three of the leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The movie broke all records in terms of its opening and weekend ticket revenues, and it also became one of the top 2001 films. Critics have praised both the film as well as the performance of the three principal young actors. The widely distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performance "awesome. In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five prizes for her work in the film winning The Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
